Fitzsimmons Timber Engineering LTD is one of 4 companies within the Fitzsimmons Group. The timber engineering division was originally established to manufacture and erect timber frame kits for Fitzsimmons Homes during their first new build construction development - Eglinton Meadow, in Kilwinning. As the scale of the Fitzsimmons Homes developments increased, a need to increase our timber frame manufacturing facility was identified - this was met by the acquisition of our premises located in the Stevenson Industrial Estate, Ardeer - where a purpose built timber engineering facility was constructed, alongside our Fitzsimmons Group offices.

In addition to the expansion of our facility, came greater capabilities and the introduction of a bigger, more experienced team. As-well as this we have also developed strong relationships with our supply chain, even during such a volatile time in the market.

We are currently looking to expand our production by going to the external market and carry out works - such as: affordable housing, commercial, self builds and private developers.

Our Design team is able to work with the Client, in order to help develop their ideas into and accurate plan, that will allow them to visualise the completed product. We use timber as part of our design and manufacturing process because it is an organic and sustainable product - when coupled with our off-site manufacturing and on-site build methodology, this helps to reduce the structures’ carbon footprint, and the impact on the environment.

Our in-house design team also ensures that our products are selected, designed, and manufactured to ensure total and complete compliance with the building regulation requirements that govern the use of timber in construction, whether its a requirement for timber selection in relation to strength grading, preservation or specific requirements for insulation and/or vapour control.

Additionally, our products are manufactured to our clients exacting standards, and are subject to rigorous Structural Timber Association, quality assurance standards and audits as well as our internal, ISO 9001 quality management system. Our attention to detail ensures that our individual products are manufactured to ensure maximum efficiency throughout their life as part of your build.
