Building your own self-build home can be an intimidating process with or without construction experience. Our team has over 40+ years experience in the timber frame industry and are capable of helping you with each stage of the build, from design, manufacture and erect. We will be with you every step of the way to ensure the build is constructed to the best possible specification and tailored to your preference.
Within our group we also have multiple neighbouring companies that can help you with the other aspects of your project from start to finish if necessary.
Commercial Projects & Affordable Housing
Alongside our self build & private developments service, we are also able to manufacture, supply and erect timber frame for the external market - including: commercial projects and affordable housing developments.

Floor Cassettes
Our floor cassettes are manufactured in our timber engineering facility. They are a factory-manufactured panel comprised of a series of floor joists joined together with end-joists to form a load-bearing element of floor construction.
We primarily manufacture I-beam floor cassettes, however we can also manufacture and provide Posi-Joist floor cassettes if requested by a customer.
I-Beam floor cassettes provide a safer solution over a traditional joist layout and also increase the timber frame kit erection process due to the ease of their construction. I-Beam joists have a lot of strength for their size and weight, they also don't twist or split like standard joists.
Our floor cassettes are available in a range of sizes and specifications to suit your timber frame project.
Internal & External Wall Panels
Our INT and EXT wall panels are manufactured based on the structural frame design of each individual project, all of our panels are factory-produced and can be transported to a wide range of locations.
Some of the external wall panels components include, stud wall partitions - which can be manufactured using a variety of sizes to suit the specification of your design, - 9 ml OSB board and an attached breather membrane. Our team of fabricators are fully qualified and competent to carry out the timber frame manufacturing process as-well as the on-site erection if necessary - based on project.
Roof Trusses
At Fitzsimmons Timber Engineering LTD we specialise in transforming architectural drawings into structurally engineered roof truss solutions, we always aim to provide our customers with a reliable service at the fastest rate.
Alongside our trusses we can also supply factory-manufactured spandrel panels and roof building accessories.
During the erection stage of the project we build our roofs on the ground floor and then use a crane to move them onto the kit at the end of the erect, this poses a number of health and safety benefits over other roof construction methods. However if we are working alongside a customer in a restricted location where a crane cannot be used, we have a fall protection system that can be supplied and fitted to assist and complete your roof build structure.
